I finally try some perch fishing and I ran into a little very unintentional snag. After two casts I get busted! It was an oversight as I always have my license. I managed to catch a fish at least! Then I head to Castaic for the evening bite... which was uneventful in every way.

This kid fishes hard, I met Cesar two years ago fishing on a Sport Boat. Cesar is a true angler, and dedicates a lot of his free time fishing. When he said he wanted to get into Kayak fishing, I knew he would be on the water a lot and he seems to find the fish most the time. Great Job Cesar!
We see a vision...

Surf Fishing with lugworms in Santa Monica In this video the guys go out to Santa Monica for some surf fishing. We caught a variety of fish species including sand sharks leopard sharks perch and yellowfin croakers. We were fishing with light tackle and using lugworms for bait. Later we brought out the sand rake to catch some sand fleas aka sandcrabs for bait. Later we met some fellow Surf fisherman and chatted it up. A really chill day to fish filled with fun and excitement.
In this video I meet up with my homies Chris, Dan and Drew and we head up to Malibu California to a famous cliff jumping spot called Rindge Dam. On the way to the dam we stop and pick up a friend that happens to be riding his scooter all the way from Laguna Beach, CA to Brookings Oregon. That is around a 1000 mile trip by scooter. While at the dam, Mark (scooter rider) jumps the deadliest stair set I've ever seen, If he fell he would of have died. Then we ended the video doing a bunch of cliff jumps and Drew gets really wild and almost flops onto the rocks. This was a sick adventure with the homies and a day I'll never forget! Also follow @thefoonmaster on his journey up to Oregon on his scooter! Thanks for watching and subscribe for more videos! Follow everyone from the video on instagr...
Check out http://www.fishermanslife.net for T-Shirts, tips and more! Collapsible Bucket can be found here: http://amzn.to/2dw0olK ... Went fishing today with the intention of doing a catch and cook video that turned into a camping trip as well. I used the freshest squid I could buy from the local fish market. Used a 2/0 hook with a treble stinger to target some kind of rock fish, cabezon or lingcod. Ended up hooking onto a large kelp greenling, aka Sea Trout. This was the largest greenling I've ever caught! Normally people catch these species from shore at around 10-12 inches. Wish I had my scale because the record sea trout is 3lbs. This guy was close. The wind picked up a lot and I couldn't fish anymore so I took out the pocket folding knife, pre-sharpened, and cut off some hea...

What Kayak To Buy For Fishing - Helpful Tips So you are interested in buying your first kayak for fishing. How do you get started. Here are some basic tips to help you figure out which kayak to buy. 1) Buy the kayak that you will use the most. A kayak that is too expensive to mess up, too much of a headache to use and put away, too heavy, or just plain inconvenient is not going to be used after the "honeymoon" period. Focus on picking a first kayak that you will have no issues with getting on the water through your orientation period. 2) Buy used. No need to absorb the new kayak depreciation when you are still not for sure going to be getting into the sport. You can easily sell it later should you want to upgrade. 3) Make sure you account for storage, transport, and ability to lift. ...

Decided to spool up my ultra lite rods with fresh 2 lb Berkley Xl-smooth casting after watching 1Rod1Reel's video using it, I really just wanted to see what i could land on it. I grew up fishing the same size rod i use in this video with 4 lb line and caught all sorts of big fish in freshwater and saltwater even. i have actually fished 2 lb line before, im not going to lie though half way through this fight i was wondering what the heck i got myself into. the current IGFA line class record for common carp is 31 pounds 3 ounces more than likely i just bested that by a few pounds. location - Town Lake, Austin, Texas Rod used - Quantum micro lite Reel- Quantum Optix 10 Line- Berkley XL Smooth catsing 2 lb Kayak- Malibu Mini-X

Tarpon caught on July 19, 2017. It was getting late and we decided to stick it out another 30 minutes because we had a Tarpon the night before hit around 8:30 PM. At about 8:50 PM we hear the reel scream really quick and then stop. We run to the reel and my dad reels it in to see that we had our bait stolen. I pickup the bait bucket and take out our last Pinfish and he hooks it and drops it back in the water. We wait by the reel and about 10 seconds go by when all of a sudden the TLD 30 starts screaming! My dad picks up the rod and notices the Tarpon is going towards the pier and thats when the video starts and you see him hitting the Tarpon hard trying to get it to turn. You can see the Tarpon at: 20:58, 21:47 between the railing, 22:09 between the railing and 22:28.
Thresher shark drags my hobie pa12 around for over 45 mins, video has been doubled in speed and slowed down in some spots . I don't fish intentionally for sharks but I did keep this thresher as it was my first ever caught and a lot of effort was put forth to land this beast. The meat was shared among friends and family. The head was donated to CSULB Shark Lab for research studies. Please contact #LauraMartinezSteele if you decide to keep thresher or salmon sharks in the future to help her research studies, At the end of the video you will see her informational flyer. Very thankful for Sandy C. Wagner editing this awesome video. She did a great job and couldn't of accomplished this without her help 👍
